Seaburn sessions – more details

As we promised last week, here is an update on the sessions we have organised to work with you to develop plans for Seaburn.  Follow the links at the bottom of each of the session options to reserve a space (spaces are limited).  You can also view details in our Seaburn sessions info newsletter.

 

Fieldtrip 1: SEASIDE STREETS AND SPACES 

July 1st, 12.00 – 17.00

We will be travelling by coach to Amble, Blyth and Whitley Bay, as well as looking at seaside regeneration projects from other parts of the country which will be provided by leaflet.

Please dress for the weather and wear shoes suitable for walking. Water, hot drinks and ice cream will be provided, but please bring any lunch and snacks that you need.

Fieldtrip 2: NEIGHBOURHOODS AND COMMUNITY 

July 5th, 17.30 – 20.30

We will be travelling by coach to Gateshead, Newcastle to look at residential projects and we will also be looking at examples of new neighbourhoods from other parts of the country, which will be provided by leaflet. Please dress for the weather and wear shoes suitable for walking. Water, hot drinks and biscuits will be provided but please bring any food or snacks that you need.

Workshop on placemaking activities for the site: 

July 11th, 18.00 – 20.00

We will be discussing how the site looks and works in the period between now and summer 2019. We will be able to update you on upcoming activity and would like to gather your thoughts and ideas on what other uses we could consider and support on site as the development takes shape.

Summing up session and next steps:

July 17th, 18.00 – 20.00

This event invites those who’ve been involved in the above sessions to feedback their thoughts and findings to the architect, landscape architect and artist who will be working on plans and designs for the site. In addition, any residents who haven’t been able to join the sessions can come along, meet the design team and find out what’s happening.

  1. Could you share the leaflets that are to accompany the field trips before the events to help people prepare for the visits, and for information for those of us unable to attend?
