Seaburn Seafront development: forthcoming workshops

Information Session

Siglion will be holding a series of workshops with local residents, groups and young people over the coming months, starting with an information session on Tuesday 28th February.

This session will provide a recap on what is included in the current planning application, answer queries that have been raised including the development timeline and outline the next steps that will be taken to develop more detailed plans and the opportunities for you to get involved.  You can find out more by reading our February newsletter: seaburn-update-final

Places for this session are limited so please book your place on Eventbrite by following this link.

We have recently held a session with Sunderland’s Youth Parliament, attended by four of Fulwell Junior School’s student councillors who acted as local experts, providing members of the Youth Parliament with knowledge and information. They were brilliant at helping everyone’s ideas to flow with lots of lively discussion and helpful thoughts on what would attract families and young people to enjoy spending time in Seaburn. You can view a short film of the workshop on our YouTube page, or by clicking this link.

Further public sessions, including a field trip to look at other developments, will be held throughout March and April, inviting you to help shape plans for the site. This will also provide further opportunities to talk to Siglion and the designers who will be working on the plans for Seaburn. Look out for the dates, times and venues for these. We will post them here as soon as they are confirmed.

If you are not able to attend any of the sessions we will be filming them all and posting these films on this site so that you can access the information.
